Kisses for Cancer
The quickly growing health initiative kicked off on August 17, 2013 in New York City. With over 200 guests in attendance, the 1st Annual Kisses for Cancer gala was a night of musical performance, heartwarming speeches, specialty drinks and desserts, and most importantly, the recognition of the Angels and Warriors directly impacted by the disease.
Educating the community is a top priority for the team behind the scenes as they engage participants with different facts and campaigns. Founder, Tassika Lloyd states "It's incredible how many of us are affected by cancer and yet, still know little to nothing about it. So, this event covers it all - giving people the knowledge about what we're up against, sharing the burden with the families who are fighting, and lastly, donating to an organization that best serves our community with cancer research and support."

We're a sentimental bunch over here so it only made sense to use something as intimate and as significant as kissing to headline our program. Not to mention the fact that we're makeup junkies! More importantly, cancer sometimes leaves people feeling like less of their beautiful selves and we wanted to kick that idea to the curb. The situation may be ugly but the person? They are still beautiful and we want to restore that beauty wherever we can.
So, what better way to do that than with lipstick? And because lipstick comes in all colors, every 'kiss' represents a different type of cancer. It's a great way to educate people on the different types and it's the only time it's ever ok to kiss & tell.
