Our mission is to educate the African American community about health concerns disproportionately affecting Black men.  We work to promote healthier lifestyle choices including routine doctor visits, better eating habits and regular exercise.

A health disparity is  a gap in the quality of health and health care across racial, ethnic, sexual orientation and socioeconomic groups.  For example:  African Americans are 1.8 times more likely to have diabetes as non-hispanic whites.

The #BetheBetterMan campaign identifies these gaps and creates community awareness surrounding them.  This year we're focusing on four particuluar diseases that adversely affect male health in the African American community. (Enlarge the pictures for full descriptions)
